9. If MSR is a feature (valid if the control unit is customized for the numeric character set):

10.lf ECS feature:
a. Move cursor to sixth line.
b. Hold ALT, and press APL
or Text ON/OFF key. •
c. Type in any or all APL characters •
as shown on the key tops and key faces.
d. Hold AL T and press
TEST to end test.
11.lf PS feature:
a. Request online test 8 by following procedure in
3.3.21, step 2 if already in test mode or steps 1
and
2 if not in online test mode.
b. Verify symbols on lines 3 and 5 to make sure
that the fonts displayed are the same as the fonts
installed.
c. Hold AL T and press
TEST to end test.
Cursor moves number of positions equal
to number
of characters
on test card plus three spaces; green
light on reader lights, and
~-f is displayed in
operator information area.
APL or
Text appears in indicator row.
Correct character should appear
for each key entered.
