      If no sound is coming from the speaker of your Icom Receiver, there are several things you can check: * Ensure the volume level isn't too low by rotating the [AF GAIN] clockwise. * Make sure the squelch isn't closed by rotating [SQUELCH] counterclockwise. * Disconnect any external speakers or headphones that may be connected. * If you're in CW narrow mode and don't have an optional filter installed, select another mode or install the filter.

      If auto memory write scan does not function, it is because all channels in the auto memory bank have been programmed. Erase some or all of the channels in the auto write bank.

      If you cannot write a memory name on your Icom Receiver, it could be because a frequency hasn't been programmed into the memory channel yet. Push [MW] for 1 second in advance. Also, ensure you push [ENT] after setting the name and that the [MW] key is not used for name programming.
