MIFARE Config Card
A MIFARE config card provides a quick and secure method for programming a card reader.
Prerequisites
Using a Config Card to program a card reader requires a suitably configured MIFARE Card. These can be ordered
from the ICT customer services team using order code: PRX-ISO-CONFIG .
Alternatively, cards can be configured using the ICT Encoder Client. This provides a flexible and convenient
method for programming readers as and when needed. For information on the encoding process and
requirements, refer to the ICT Encoder Client User Manual, available on the ICT Website.
In order to use a Config Card to program a card reader, the reader must meet the following requirements:
Firmware version 1.04.229 or higher.
It is not possible to specifically identify the firmware version on a reader. The version the reader was shipped
with can be checked by contacting ICT Technical Support and providing the reader's serial number.
Alternatively, upgrade the firmware to a known compatible version.
