Answering machine setup
The X2i is supplied with the answering machine
switched on and set up to automatically answer a call
after five rings.
It will play a predefined message and will allow the
caller to leave a message if they desire.
There are a number of settings that can be adjusted to
personalise the X2i's operation to suit your needs.
X2i answering
modes
The X2i has two answering modes, ANSWER ONLY
mode and ANSWER & RECORD mode.
ANSWER ONLY mode is switched on by default and
will remain on unless you change mode.
To change
answering
mode:
1 Press the MENU/OK button ONCE then the
á button ONCE

Display Shows Main Menu >Answ Machine
2 Press the MENU/OK button once then the
â button THREE times

Display Shows Ans Machine >Answ Mode
3 Press the MENU/OK button
è
Display Shows Answer Mode >Answ. & Rec.
4 Press the áâbuttons to select the new
mode and then MENU/OK to confirm

Display Shows Select mess >Predefined
5 Turn to page 30 to set up the outgoing
message
