The outgoing
message
The X2i is supplied with two predefined outgoing
messages (OGM). One is for use in ANSWER ONLY
mode and one for use in ANSWER & RECORD mode.

Both of these can be replaced with your own pre-
recorded message if you prefer.
■
To pre-record an outgoing message you must first
follow the procedure set the answer mode
To record a
new outgoing
message:
After setting the answer mode you can choose
between using a predefined outgoing message
or using a personalised one that you have
recorded. If you select Personalised you will
then need to record a new message.
1 Follow steps 1 to 5 on page 29

Display Shows Select mess >Predefined
2 Press the â button to select Personalised
and press the MENU/OK button

Display shows >Play message
3 Press the MENU/OK button to play the
existing message
4 Press the â button and the MENU/OK
button to record a new message

Display Shows >Recording mess
5 Speak clearly into the handset
6 Press the MENU/OK button to end the
recording
è
Display Shows Ans & Rec. >Play OGM
7 Press the MENU/OK button to play the
message. If you are not happy with the
result repeat steps 4 and 5
8 Use the CANCEL button to exit the menu
