4 TROUBLESHOOTING
In most cases, a printer operating fault activates the indicators and an audible
signal.
4.1 THE PRINTER DOES NOT START UP AT
POWER UP
1. Power down the printer (turn power switch to "O" position).
2. Check the presence of the AC power supply with another electrical
device.
3. Check the connections of the power cord to the printer power inlet and to
the power supply outlet.
4. Restart the printer (turn power switch to "I" position).
5. Wait for the printer to initialize then make sure that the LED indicator is lit
in green, in "On line" mode.
6. If the problem persists, call the help desk.
4.2 THE PRINTER DOES NOT RECEIVE PRINT
DATA
1. Power down the printer (turn power switch to "O" position).
2. Check the connections of the data cable to the printer data inlet and to
the computer system (computer, network, hub, etc.).
3. Restart the printer (turn power switch to "I" position) and make sure that
the LED indicator is lit in green,in "Online" mode.
4. Send a print command from the host system; the printer should perform
the requested task.
5. If the problem persists, call the help desk.
