3.12 Remote control of the SmartLink-GP via
SMS text messages
SmartLink-GP can manage SMS text commands from remote phones using
the GSM network:
• Arm or disarm the system
• activate one or more outputs
• activate the buzzer
• send SMS text reply to status enquiry
Attention: If an output has already been associated with one of
the events included in Appendix D Inhibit events for
output control, it cannot be used as a command
output.
Observe the spaces which separate the user code. Commands in uppercase
text.
3.12.1 Commands without user code
SmartLink-GP will accept incoming SMS commands without user code entry,
from phone numbers which have been duly programmed under Phone
Expiry event
SIM
SmartLink-GP will trigger the
SIM expiry event in
accordance with the set date
and time.
For example, to send
SMS text 'SIM
expiry' reminder to
the user.
NOTE Only for
Italian GSM
operators:
Each time you top up
your SIM card credit
(using a pre-paid
phonecard),
SmartLink will
update the reminder
date, in such way as
to match the new
expiry date of the
SIM card (renewed
each time you top up
credit).
