It is recommended to use shielded twisted pairs. Connect two 120 Ω termination
resistors at each end of the bus to prevent signal reflection. Typically, ground the
shield in the single‑point grounding mode. Using a multimeter to measure the
resistance between CANH and CANL helps to confirm whether the junction resistance
on the field is correct. The normal resistance value is about 60 Ω (with two resistors in
parallel connection). Up to 64 devices can be connected.
In case of long‑distance communication for CAN devices, connect the common
ground CGNDs of different CAN circuits together to ensure equipotentiality between
different communication devices.
