Crosshead direction Indicates the direction to turn the pulley to
manually move the crosshead upward.
Pulleys can be turned by hand when power
is disabled.
Crush hazard Indicates the crush hazard of the moving
crosshead and instructs the user to read
and understand the operator’s manual
before using the machine.
Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment
(WEEE)
In accordance with the European Union’s
WEEE directive, the crossed out wheeled
bin symbol indicates that the equipment
must be disposed of separately from other
waste at the end of its usable life. For
advice on the disposal of electrical and
electronic equipment in your country,
contact your local Instron representative.
