GLOSSARY
word A 16-bit unit of data. In memory, a word comprises
two contiguous bytes.
wraparound The result of interpreting an address whose
hexadecimal expression uses more bits than the
number of available address lines. Wraparound
ignores the upper address bits and directs access to the
value expressed by the lower bits.
