While the instrument calculates the instrument displays the ongoing STEL as it is calculated. The live
reading is for indication only. Only the final reading at the end of the process is logged and should be
used as reference. Press Esc to go back to the live measurement screen, the Health and Safety icon
will still flash. Press the Health and Safety soft key to have the live STEL and TWA appear once again.
A graph of these live STEL and TWA readings can be seen if the Tiger XT has the Datalogging feature.
Refer to Health and Safety Screen for more details on this.
If a gas has no STEL and TWA levels in the gas table this symbol will appear: .
Zones
Press the Zone soft key to display the name of the currently selected Zone: . The
TIGER XT default is '001'. Zones are set up in TigerPC. Use the Up and Down keys to select other
zones.
Data Logging: Single-log (push-to-log)
Option only available if the relevant upgrade has been installed.
Press the Single Data Log soft key to begin a new datalogging session. Press the soft key to take a
single data log reading. Each time the soft key is pressed the single data point will be added to the
session. The Single Data Log symbol appears briefly with a tick before returning to
the main screen. The memory status icon flashes when a single data log reading is taken. Holding the
soft key for 5 seconds will end the single data log session displaying a message to say the session has
ended.
Data Logging: Multi-logging
Optional, only available if the relevant upgrade has been installed.
Pressing the Multi Data Log soft key results in the user being asked if they want to start a new Multi-
logging session . Press the Enter key to start the Data Logging session based on
TigerPC setup. A tick '' briefly appears beside the text box to confirm that Data Logging has
started. The memory status icon flashes once per second while continuous Data Logging is in
progress.
To stop Data Logging, press the soft key again. A crossed-out data log symbol is then displayed with
the message “End session?”. Press the Enter key to confirm the action. A tick '' then appears
beside the text box, confirming that Data Logging has stopped. The memory status will now no
longer flash.
Sleep Mode
Press and hold the Zzz soft key to send the TIGER XT to “sleep”. A three second count down takes
place before it enters Sleep Mode. All functionality is switched off. “Zzz” is displayed on screen. Press
Esc to cancel.
Sleep Mode is not available when the instrument is locked.
