FAQ :
Q1: Why can`t I see the 9828`s IP address in IPEDIT.exe ?
Ans.:
Please check if your 9828 had boot up successfully . There is a short beep sound to show
9828 boot up successfully after device power up for 45 second.
There are several possibilities for this issue as 9828 boot up successfulle :
1. Segment of your PC :
Please check the PC you use is under same LAN/ network / segment as 9825 .
2. Firewall / Antivirus protection :
Please turn off some Anti-Virus / online chatting software .
3. Network card :
IPEDIT can only work for the PC with one network card . If there are morn than 1
network card , include dynamic network card , please disable one and make sure the
one you selected is Under the same segment with IP9825.
4. Connection sequence
9828 will stay DHCP mode – keep waiting for your router to assign the IP ( DHCP ) - if
you connect the 9828 to PC directly and connect to network cable before the power of
9828 device turn on .
If connect to PC directly , please wait for the boot up beep first and then connect the
network cable to your PC . And the IP should be fixed at 192.168.100.169
Q2 : Why can`t I see my 9828 after arrange the port forwarding in my router?
Ans. : Please make sure the Network Type ( Gateway ) is correct - LAN or WAN .
