When in pattern mode, the top row of keys gives quick access to the most common pattern
functions and settings.
Metronome
Metronome settings are global, not per project. When the metronome plays, the pitch is higher
on the first beat of each measure. Quickly double-clicking the Metronome key toggles the
metronome on/off for the current mode.
Play Metro During: There are separate settings to turn on the metronome during playback,
recording, count-in, and sampling.
Count-in Bars: The metronome can be set to count in for a number of measures before the
pattern. The range is zero (no count-in) to nine (too long).
Count-in Before: The count in can happen before recording, playback, or both. The Rec/Edit key
blinks during record count-in. The Run/Stop key blinks during playback count-in.
Scale: The metronome can be set to play on quarter, eighth, sixteenth, or thirty-second notes,
or triplets thereof. Faster metronome settings are helpful with slower tempos.
Level: Level is the volume of the metronome.
Output: The metronome can be set to play on any one of the eight outputs, or only in the
headphones. Optionally, it can also play USB audio out.
Output to USB Mix: Check this setting to hear the metronome in USB audio.
