What to do if the J&M Outdoor Cart experiences grain flow stoppage?
    • R
      Robert JohnsonAug 5, 2025
If your J&M Outdoor Cart experiences grain flow stoppage: * Replace the bolt in the drive dog if it has sheared, and engage the upper and lower flighting at a slow rate of speed. Avoid engaging drive dogs and lugs too quickly. * If the upper and lower flightings are disengaging before the auger comes to a complete stop, replace the bolt in the drive dog. Always wait for the augers to stop completely before engaging or disengaging the upper and lower flightings. * Replace the key and tighten the set screw if the PTO key has sheared.

What to do if the auger tube is breaking away from the J&M Outdoor Cart?
    • W
      wallacejosephAug 22, 2025
If the auger tube is breaking away from the grain cart at the hinge area, or if the ram in the hydraulic folding cylinder is bent, it's likely because the upper auger was extended in the upright position while traveling in the field. Repair or replace the folding cylinder if necessary, and remember to lower the auger to the field position after unloading.

Why is the hanger bushing assembly hot on my J&M Outdoor Cart?
    • J
      Jessica BrewerAug 28, 2025
The hanger bushing assembly at the top of the lower auger flighting might be hot because: * The top of the hanger bushing assembly is rubbing against the drive dog. To fix this, loosen the two bolts, readjust the position of the hanger bushing assembly, and then re-tighten the bolts. * Alternatively, remove the lower flighting assembly and place a shim between the spline coupler and the gearbox.

Why won't the auger return to the down position or move from the stow position on my J&M Outdoor Cart?
    • L
      Logan LewisNov 10, 2025
There are several reasons why the auger on your J&M Outdoor Cart might not return to the down position or move from the stow position: * A faulty check valve may be the cause. Replace the check valve. * A faulty lock and load solenoid may be the cause. Disconnect power to lock and load. If the auger is able to move, the lock and load solenoid needs to be replaced. * The upper and lower flighting may be locked together. Adjust the bearing on top of the upper auger flighting. When the auger is in the engaged position, there must be a 1/8” (0,32cm) gap between the bottom of the top bearing and the top of the upper tube housing. * The feed gate may be open. Close the feed gate. * The Lock and Load may not be operating correctly. Make sure the limit switch on the feed gate indicator a...
