THREAD TENSION
NOTE:
Thebobbinthreadtensionhasbeenadjustedatthe
factoryandreadjustmentisusuallynotrequired.
Lower thread tension
To test the bobbin thread tension, remove the
bobbincaseandbobbinfromthemachineandhold
thebobbincasesuspendedbythethread.Shakeit
onceortwice.Ifthetensioniscorrect,thethread
willunwindbyaboutaninchortwo.Ifthetension
istootight,itwillnotunwind.Ifthetensionistoo
loose,thethreadwillunwindfor morethantwo
inches.Toadjust,turnthesmallscrewontheside
ofthebobbincase.(Fig1)
Upper thread tension
Basicthreadtensionsetting:“4”.(Fig2)
Toincreasethetension,turnthedialuptoahigher
number.Toreducethetension,turnthedialtoa
lowernumber.
A.Normalthreadtension.
B.Threadtensiontooloose.
C.Threadtensiontootight.
TENSÃO DA LINHA
NOTA:
A tensão da linha da bobina é congurada de
fábrica, de modo que o seu ajustamento não é
necessário.
Tensão da linha de baixo
Paravericaratensãodalinhadabobinaretirea
caixadabobinaeabobinadamáquina,segurando
acaixadabobinapelalinha.Sacuda-aumaouduas
vezes.Seatensãoestivercorreta,alinhadesenrola-
sede2,54cma5,08cm,aproximadamente.Sea
tensãoforexcessiva,alinha nãosai.Seatensão
for baixa, a linha desenrola-se mais de 5,08 cm
(2”).Paraajustaratensãorodeopequenoparafuso
situadonalateraldacaixadabobina.(Fig1)
Tensão da linha superior
Ajustamentosbásicosparaproporcionartensãona
linha:“4”.(Fig2)
Para aumentar a tensão rode o disco para um
númeroalto.Parareduziratensãorodeodiscopara
umnúmerobaixo.
