    Why is lumber feeding poorly through my Jet Planer?

      Poor feeding of lumber in the Jet Planer can be caused by: * Inadequate feed roller pressure. Adjust feed roller tension, and if proper tension cannot be achieved, replace feed rollers. * Planer bed rough or dirty. Clean pitch and residue, and wax the planer table. * Transmission v-belt slipping. Tighten the transmission v-belt. * Surface of feed rollers clogged. Clear pitch and residue out of teeth.

      Rough or raised grain when using the Jet Planer may occur due to: * Dull knives. Sharpen or rotate the knife inserts. * Too heavy a cut. Adjust the depth of cut. * Moisture content too high. Remove high moisture content from the wood by drying.
