Setting the height of the presser foot with the micro-lifter dial
When sewing heavy-weight materials or slippery materials, material
slippage can be prevented by changing the presser foot height without
reducing the presser foot pressure (keeping the presser foot pressure
at the current level).
Use the micro-lifter for quilting, sewing slippery materials such as vel-
vet, or knit-type elastic materials.
It is also possible to change the height of the presser foot by the mi-
cro-lifter even during sewing.
Turn the micro-lifter dial to set the presser foot to such a height that will
press the material appropriately.
A To decrease the presser foot height
B To increase the presser foot height
* When you do not use the micro-lifter, turn the dial fully in the direc-
tion A.
* The indicator line of the mIcro-lifter activating range can also be
used as a guide for next sewing.
* Place the same material (for test sewing) as the material for actual
sewing and adjust the presser foot height.
Be aware that the material may fail to be fed to cause thread tan-
gling if the presser foot is lifted too high.
