Sewing test
Sew two pieces of the material together. Then, check whether or not the
nished seam is correct.
1. Close the looper cover. Turn the power on.
2. Check that the upper knife is raised.
3. Lower the presser foot.
4. While holding the thread trailing from the rear of the presser foot by
hand, depress the controller to produce chain-o󰀨 thread by 6 to 7 cm.
5. Raising the front part of the presser foot with ngers, put the fabric
under the presser foot until this side of the upper knife is reached.
6. Start the sewing machine.
7. After the completion of sewing, cut the chain-o󰀨 thread.

Cut the chain-o󰀨 thread with the upper knife
Pull the chain-o󰀨 thread and bring it toward you. Then, cut it with the
upper knife.
How to cut the chain-o󰀨 thread

Depress the foot switch
After you have completed sewing, depress the foot switch to cut the
chain-o󰀨 thread.
* In order to cut the chain-o󰀨 thread by depressing the foot switch, it is
necessary to set the function of the foot switch accordingly in advance.
