INSTALLING THE SENSORS
The package contains three wireless sensors with a factory setting that is activated immediately when the
battery is inserted (the remote control must be activated in the system before it can be used – see Using
Remote Control). We recommend that you start by installing the alarm package’s main components, and
only adjust the settings once the system is working properly. This section will help you to alter the system
settings to your requirements.
First determine where the sensors are to be located:
NOTE! The sensors must be situated:
in locations that are not easy to access
in the most exposed rooms or close to important entrances
at a safe distance from extreme temperature sources (radiators, ovens, stoves, etc.) and large
metal objects that can disrupt the wireless signal transfer
where the best RF performance can be achieved (if necessary).
When you have selected the locations for the sensors, you can start the system.
A. Door/window sensor
The door/window sensor consists of two parts: a transmitter and a magnet. When the two parts of the
sensor have been installed on the door or window, it will be triggered and signal to the Smart Panel when
the door or window is opened. One door/window sensor is factory-programmed for zone 1 and the other
for zone 2, although you can adapt these settings to your own requirements. (See Zone Settings in
Operating different modes and Code settings for zone allocation).
Starting door/window sensor
Remove the battery cover and insert 2 new AAA batteries, with the correct polarity as illustrated
below, and refit the cover.
Low battery level indicator: If the batteries need to be replaced, the RED LED on the transmitter will
flash slowly.
Installation of door/window sensor
Install the transmitter on a solid surface, e.g. the door or window frame.
Install the magnet on a moving surface, e.g. the door leaf or window casement.
Check that the markings >/< on the sides of the transmitter and magnet are directly opposite each
other as illustrated.
