With the A-X3, these terminals can also be used for con-
necting an S.E.A. Graphic Equalizer unit and, therefore,
underneath these terminals “SEA” is labelled on the rear
panel of the A-X3. (For connection of the S.E.A. unit,

Connect source components with left and right channels
connected correctly. Reversed channels wil! degrade the
stereo effect.
. Connect speakers with correct polarity; (+) to (+) and
(-) to (-). Reversed polarity will degrade the stereo effect.
. Switch the power off when connecting any component.
. Connect plugs or wires firmly. Poor contact may result in
hum.
. Use speakers with correct impedance (4 — 16 ohms).When
two pairs of speakers are to be driven simultaneously,
their impedance should be between 8 and 16 ohms.
. How to connect speakers:
Unscrew the knurled knobs and insert stripped wire ends
into the holes through the guide grooves, Screw the knobs
back on firmly and the electrical connection will be suf-
ficiently made.
. The TAPE-1 terminals and DIN socket are in parallel.
These cannot be used at the same time.
. Do not connect equipment requiring more than the rated
power to the AC outlets on the rear panel.
. The SWITCHED AC outlets are switched off when the
front pane! power switch is switched off.
The UNSWITCHED AC outlet is not switched off when
the front pane! power switch is switched off.

Bei dem A-X3 kGnnen diese Anschliisse zum Anschlu&
eines S.E.A.-Mehrbereichsklangreglers benutzt werden,
deshalb befindet sich unter den Anschliissen auf der Riick-
seite des A-X3 die Kennzeichnung ‘SEA’. (Fir den
Anschlu des S.E.A.-Gerates siehe Seite 17.)
