Searching
One
of
the
advantages
of
the
RDS
service
is
that
you
can
locate
a
particular
kind
of
program
from
the
preset
channels
by
specifying
the
PTY
codes.
To
search
for
a
program
using
the
PTY
codes
(possible
only
from
the
front
panel):

Step
1
Press
the
PTY
SEARCH
button
while
listening
to
an
FM
station.

“PTY”
and
“SELECT”
alternate
on
the
display.

Press
the
TUNING/PTY
MODE

or

button
to
select
a
PTY
code.
The
display
gives
you
the
PTY
codes
described
on
page
18.

searching,

selected
PTY
code
alternate

The
receiver
searches
40
preset
channels,
stops
when
it
finds
the
one
you
have
sclected,

tunes

station.

the
