Connecting the Power Cord

After checking all connections, plug the power cord into an AC outlet
Press in the © POWER switch on the front panel.
The STANDBY indicator lights up on the front panel. A small amount of power 3
walls) is consumed under these conditions, even if the receiver is (ured off.
To shut off the power completely:
Press out the © POWER switch.
2 CAUTION!
Do not handle the power cord with wet hands.
Do not pull on the power cord to unplug the receiver. Always grasp the plug
itself so as not to damage the cord.
Do not plug the power cord into an AC outlet until all components are
connected correctly.
IMPORTANT! The preset channels will be erased in a few days in the following
cases:
© When you press out the © POWER switch.
© When you unplug the power cord.
¢ When a power failure occurs.
The difference between the © POWER switch and the STANDBY/ON \/| button
The © POWER switch is the mains supply switch, allowing the receiver to
connect to the mains supply. To shut off the power completely, press out the
© POWER switch.
The STANDBY/ONOi\ button is a functional on/off (standby) switch, and
does not disconnect the receiver from the mains supply. A small amount of
power (3 watts) is consumed even in standby mode for the receiver to accept
signals from the remote control.
The remote control requires two batteries (supplicd). To insert batteries, follow these steps:

On the rear side of the remote control, press down on the battery cover and slide it out.
Insert batteries. Make sure to observe the proper polarity: (+) to (+) and (-) to ().
Slide the cover in.

CAUTION!
Follow
these
precautions
to
avoid
leaking
or
cracking
cells:
Place
batteries
into
the
remote
control
so
they
match
the
polarity
indicated
(+)
to (+)
and
{-}
to (-).
Use the correct type of batteries. Batteries that look similar may differ in
voltage.
Always replace both batteries at the same time.
Do not expose batteries to heat or flame.

1 Turn on the power Press the STANDBY/ON (/!_ button on the front panel or the AUDIO button on the remote
control to turn on the receiver. The display is backlit as follows:
