6.7TypesofKeycards
PrimaryandSecondaryProgramKeycards(PPK/SPK)
ThePrimaryProgramkeycard(PPK)isanon‐openingkeycardthatisusedinconjunctionwithSecondaryprogram
keycards(SPK),ProgramInformationkeycards(PI),andProgramStatuskeycards(PS)forperformingthefollowing
functions:
1) UsewithPIBasickeycardtoprogramlock/roomnumberandmiscellaneousinformation.
2) UsewithPIClockkeycardstoprogramthelock’sclock.
3) UsewithPIDSTkeycardstoprogramDaylightSavingsTimeinformation.
4) UsewithPIAutolatchkeycardstodisableandre‐enableautolatch/unlatch,ortoprogramthelockwith
autolatchandunlatchtimes.
5) UsewithPSLEDDiagnosticskeycardtoturnonLEDDiagnostics.
6) UsewithPSE2Disable/Enablekeycardtodisable/enablealock.
7) UsewithPSE2Erasekeycardtoerasealock.
8) ReprogramanoutofsequenceSPKintolocks.
9) RemasteradifferentSPKintolocks.
10) UsewithPIandPassMasteringkeycardstochangehowpasskeycardswork,toreprogramalockfora
keycardifResequencekeycardsdon’twork,ortoaddordeleteakeycardtothelock.Alsousedwitha
StandardTypekeycardtoopenalockwithahardwareproblem.
11) UsewithPILevelProgramkeycardstochangehowkeycardsworkinalock.
12) UsewithPSBatteryDisconnectkeycardstodisconnectbatterypowerwithouttheuseofanELPS.
YoucangeneratePPKsfromtheMakeUserKeysfunctionboxundertheKeystab.Whenyourunthistransaction,
youwillbeaskedtoindicatewhichfunctionsthekeycardwillbeauthorizedtoperform.PPK’sarenormally
providedtopersonsinvolvedinprogrammingandtroubleshootinglocks.
TheSPKisusedtoreprogramthecurrentPPKorremasteradifferentPPKintoalock.TogenerateaSecondary
Programkeycard,gototheMakeUserKeysfunctionboxundertheKeystab.SPKsshouldonlybemadeatthetime
theyareneeded.
