Connecting Reader Units
The KT-1 provides 12 VDC power for card readers. Up to 2 readers can be con-
nected to a KT-1. The distance between the readers and the KT-1 varies by reader
type, please refer to the documentation provided with the reader. Auxiliary outputs
provide visual and/or audible access operation feedback at the controlled door.
One controller can be installed to control the entry of a single door, or two readers
can be installed on a single door and used to control both the entry and exit. Out-
puts OUT1 and OUT2 are extra multipurpose outputs.
Relay Controlled Outputs
The KT-1 provides two relay outputs: RELAY1 and RELAY2. These outputs are open-
collector rated for up to 100 mA each. The KT-1-PCB provides two form C relays:
