A 10 Troubleshooting
In the ELECTROtorque 4890 error
messages are shown visually on the
display

.
The following are authorized to
repair and service the KaVo
ELECTROtorque:
• the engineers of KaVo agents through-
out the world
• the engineers of authorised KaVo dealers
who have been specially trained by KaVo
• independent engineers specially trained
by KaVo.
C• Connecting cable used is faulty or
incorrectly connected or control circuit
board is faulty.
R• Replace connecting cable or replace
control circuit board.
C• The motor was overloaded.
R• Switch off motor (release the pedal).
The motor can be started again after
about 5 seconds.
C• The time limit (max. 10 seconds) for the
calibration of the upper pressure was
exceeded.
R• Switch off ELECTROtorque 4890 for
about 5 seconds and repeat the calibra-
tion.
C• The DC chopper transistor is faulty.
R• Switch the ELECTROtorque 4890 off/on
several times. If the error message
F = Fault C = Cause R = Remedy
F• Error message: F 3
The DC chopper transistor switches the
motor current. This power component
issubject to wear.
F•Error message: F 2
An error occurred while calibrating the
foot control.
F• Error message: F 1
The motor current exceeds 3 amps for
longer than 3 seconds.
F• Error message: F 0
Communication between control circu-
it board and control panel does not func-
tion.
