What to do if SAFEdrive icon flashes yellow on KaVo Dental equipment?
    • L
      lucassarahAug 23, 2025
If the SAFEdrive icon flashes yellow, indicating the motor is overloaded, especially if you're using a third-party handpiece, deactivate SAFEdrive or use a KaVo high-speed handpiece. If using a KaVo high-speed handpiece, relieve the load on the handpiece for at least 2 seconds by lifting it off the tooth. Once the motor reaches maximum speed and the icon turns yellow, continue working in intermittent mode.

Why is there no or insufficient spray water in my KaVo ELECTROmatic TM Dental equipment?
    • W
      Wayne PorterAug 26, 2025
There could be several reasons for insufficient spray water: - The spray water regulation might be closed; in this case, open the spray water fully. - The water line may be soiled; to resolve this, pull off the handpiece and actuate the spray water in bursts to rinse it. - The filter insert could be soiled; if so, replace the filter on the water inlet. - The spray water on the treatment unit or foot control might be closed; open the spray on the treatment unit. If the problem continues, unscrew the turbine hose to check for water flow. If there's no flow, contact a service engineer.

If your device malfunctions with no display and the LED on the rear doesn't flash, it may be due to no voltage supply. Check and restore the voltage supply and ensure the connection is correct. If your device malfunctions (no display, the LED on the rear of the device flashes), this may indicate no voltage supply to the control panel. Check and restore the correct connection. If this doesn't resolve the issue, try replacing the connection cable to the control panel, or replacing the control panel itself. If the problem continues, notify a service engineer.

Why maximum speed is not reached on KaVo Dental equipment?
    • M
      Martha JohnsonSep 15, 2025
If your KaVo dental equipment isn't reaching maximum speed, it could be due to a few reasons. The supply pressure might have dropped significantly; try repeatedly pushing the foot control down fully to allow the motor to start up and calibrate automatically, increasing the speed. Alternatively, there might be a kink or leak in the supply hose; remove any kinks and inspect for damage, replacing the hose if necessary. Lastly, the motor or handpiece could be sluggish, in which case you should replace or repair the handpiece. If the issue persists, contact a service engineer.
