6 Operation
CAUTION
Germ formation.
Infections.
Before treating a patient, let the spray air and spray water exit for at least
20 seconds.
Before the first start-up and after downtimes (weekends, holidays, vaca-
tions, etc.), the air and water lines must be purged and/or rinsed.
The germ reduction of the ELECTROmatic must be carried out via the
dental unit.

NOTICE
Incorrectly set input values.
Property damage from incorrect input values.
Check the following input values on the display before use:
Speeds
Transmission ratios
Torque
Direction of motor rotation
SAFEdrive
Settings in ENDO mode
Own settings
NOTICE
Contaminated or moist compressed air at the compressed air connec-
tion
Premature wear
Ensure that the cooling air is dry, clean and uncontaminated in accordance
with EN ISO 7494-2.
Note
Please note the transmission/reduction ratio of the attached handpieces as
these have an impact on the displayed speed and the display torque of the
clamped tool.
6.1 Switching the ELECTROmatic on/off
The unit is ready for operation as soon as it is connected.
To switch the product on, connect the device to the power circuit.
