Why are there ghost images or shadows on my KaVo All in One Printer images?

  Ghost images and shadows can appear on your KaVo All in One Printer images if the imaging plate was exposed twice without processing between exposures, or if more than one image was exposed to the same plate. To resolve this, avoid exposing the imaging plate twice without processing and ensure only one image is exposed to the plate. Also, ensure the imaging plate is properly erased after processing. Check the LEDs during operation and respond to warnings, as the unit monitors erasing LEDs during normal operation, and the application software shows a warning if LEDs are defective.

  Decreased contrast, shadows, or ghost images in your KaVo All in One Printer output can occur due to several reasons. Ensure the plate is properly shielded from light between exposure and processing by using a protective cover correctly. Verify the hygiene bag is sealed properly and that you are using genuine hygiene accessories. Proper storage of imaging plates and correct X-ray dosage are crucial; avoid excessively high X-ray doses. The imaging plate should not be exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Use a dedicated imaging plate storage box to avoid background radiation. Store the plate away from the X-ray unit. Perform initial erasing for the plate(s) if they have been stored in dark and/or near X-ray unit.

  If your KaVo All in One Printer images are unsharp or blurred, and you notice motion artifacts, it could be due to patient or X-ray cone movement during exposure. Check the exposure procedure to ensure stability. Also, ensure the stability of the X-ray unit. If a long exposure time was used, try using a shorter exposure time, increasing kV if necessary to compensate for the effect of the shorter exposure time.
