3. Commissioning
3.1 Control unit
The cover of the Ecolift control unit does
not need to be open to commission the
system. The control unit contains two 9-volt
batteries which have already been connec-
ted and will self-activate as soon as the con-
trol unit is plugged into a 230V / 50 Hz power
source. Plug in the control unit, the system
will begin an automatic self-test / initializati-
on approx. 8 seconds after the control unit
has been plugged in and will be displayed by
various LED lights on the control unit activa-
ting.
During this initialization process, the battery,
power, optical sensors and motor and pump
connections will all be checked as well as the
automated backwater flap being fully closed
and then fully-reopened. If all connections
have been done appropriately, after the self-
test only the green Power LED will be lit and
remain lit. The Ecolift is now in operation.
After commissioning make sure that the
backwater flap is in the open position. The
function test according to DIN EN 13564 and
the optical probe test should now be con-
ducted (see the Ecolift Operating Manual).
