Oscilloscopes manufactured after the date this manual was released may be different
from those described in this manual. The release date of this manual is shown on the
title page. This manual will be revised as needed (when significant changes occur).
If you have an oscilloscope that was manufactured after the release of this manual,
please check the Keysight Technologies website at www.keysight.com to see whether a
newer version of this manual is available. You can perform a search for your
oscilloscope’s model number, go to its product page, and select Library.
Year of Manufacture
You can determine the year the oscilloscope was manufactured by examining the serial
number label that is affixed to the rear panel of the oscilloscope. The serial number is
composed of two parts. The first part contains two letters and two numbers that signify
the oscilloscope’s county of origin and year date code. A year date code of “05” indicates
that the oscilloscope was manufactured in 2005. The second part of the serial number
contains a rolling number that is different for each oscilloscope.
