1 Introduction
The M8198A is an instrument module that can be installed into the
M9505A 5-slot AXIe Chassis. This module occupies three slots of the
5-slot chassis. It must be installed in the slot immediately above the
M8008A Clock Generator module. The M8008A module must be installed
in slot 1; therefore, the M8198A module must be installed in slots 2 to 4 of
the AXIe chassis.
If the M9537A AXIe Embedded Controller is also being used, the Controller
module must be installed in slot 1, followed by the M8008A module in
slot 2 and M8198A module in slots 3 to 5, respectively.
Figure 5 shows a typical configuration of an M8198A AWG module with
the M8008A Clock Generator module.
