Section 2: Sanitization Procedure for K5 WOW Install Chlorine Dioxide
Note: The following steps should be taken immediately after installation; no water should be in the unit.
Safety glasses and rubber/latex gloves must be worn during sanitization.
1. Attach anti-spray line
2. Close feed
3. Confirm jack screw is
closed
The faucet should be closed.
The feed valve should be closed.
4. Install cartridge plugs in all
locations, except prefilter
5. Add cleaning agent.
6. Slowly open feed valve
Pour one package of cleaning agent
into dry cartridge plug install plug into
cartridge prefilter position.
Cleaning Agent: Chlorine dioxide tablet
(crush tablet while still in packet) or
granules
7. Wait 4 minutes
9. Slowly open faucet to
depressurize the system
10. Allow system to
depressurize close faucet.
Note: You may near
a buzzing sound
from the unit. This is
normal for start-up.
Check for leaks.
WARNING: Do not open faucet all the
way. Air, water and chemical solution
will spray out forcefully. Be prepared to
control the anti-spray line.
8. Close feed
anti-spray line
Install 4 plugs in these locations.
(RO, Auxiliary 1, Auxiliary 2, Post)
select settings
Note: Do not over tighten.
