5) After a short message editing is finished, press
key to confirm.
6) Select "Send" to enter the contact selection screen.
7) Select the target contact, press key to send.
8) If the message has been sent, a tone sounds and the display shows "success".
9) If the message has not been sent, a low tone sounds and the display shows "fail".
10) The display go back to the Text Message menu.
5.2 Sending a Quick Text Message
DP770 supports a maximum of 10 Quick Text Messages. While Quick Text Messages are
predefined, you can also edit each message before sending it.
1) Press
key to enter the main menu.
2) Select "
Messages" item and enter the Message menu.
3) Select "New Message" to enter the Edit menu.
4) In Short message Editing menu, Press
key to confirm.
5) Select "Quick Text";
6) Select a predefined shortcut message from the list, press
key to go back to the Edit menu.
5.3 Receiving Text Messages
When your radio receives a short message, LCD indicates a new message received, and the status
bar shows unread message icon "
".
