DP770 Digital Portable Radio Instruction Manual

Procedure:

1) Press the emergency on button.

2) The LCD displays

icon, alarm group alias/ID, the emergency alarm icon . and outgoing

icon

3) When an emergency alarm acknowledgment is received, the LCD will show "Emergency Alarm

Successful".

4) The microphone of the radio will be automatically activated without pressing PTT until Hot Mic

duration expires. Press the PTT to transmit again.

5) You can press "Emergency Off" button to exit emergency mode. The radio will return to standby

screen.

Note:

z If your radio Emergency Alarm type is set to be Silent or Silent with Voice, there is no audio and

indicators in Emergency Alarm mode.

z If your radio Emergency Alarm mode is set to be Emergency Alarm with Call, the two sides can

communicate with each other on the current Emergency channel.

z If your radio Emergency Alarm mode is set to be Emergency Alarm with Voice to follow, this will

let you communicate with others without needing to press PTT. This status of Mic automatically

switching on is called "Hot Mic Status". (Dealers can set this status by CPS)

6.4 Receiving an Emergency Alarm

If you enable "Emergency Alarm Indication" for a specific channel, your radio can receive the
