addition, the LEDs above the 16 buons show the paern’s step information.

VOLUME knob
Adjust the volume of the entire unit. This is useful for L/MONO, R, and head-
phone output.
AUDIO OUT1 to 4 are not aected by activation of this knob.

TEMPO knob
Adjust the tempo of this unit to be between 56.0 and 240.0 BPM.
Tempo information is provided for each program. You can set whether to
use the value saved in the program when switching programs or to give
priority to the value of the current TEMPO knob (→ p.44 "TEMPO").

PAGE UP/DOWN button
If items span over multiple pages when you are editing parameters, use this
buon to proceed to the next page or the previous page.
TIP
The indicator such as "1/2" (rst of two pages) appears in the upper right
corner of the display.

MUTE button
If you press one of buons 1 to 13 (BD~USER) while holding down this buon,
all steps of the part of the buon you pressed are temporarily turned o and
muted. To cancel Mute mode, press the buon(s) assigned to mute from among
buons 1 to 13 while holding down the MUTE buon.
10.
PART button
While holding down this buon, press one of buons 1 to 16 to switch the
drum part and the eect you want to edit. This is eective for paern editing,
etc. In addition, while holding down this buon, press the VPM/NOISE/USER
buon to select which MULTI sound source to use.
11.
SHIFT button
While holding down this buon, operate the knob or buon to which the shift
function is assigned. For example, you can edit HT TUNE (high tom tuning) by
turning the kit control LT TUNE (low tom tuning) knob while holding down
the SHIFT buon.
