3.4 Transport of the swather on
public roads
• Before transporting the swather on
public roads, check that the left and
right locks (1) have snapped correctly
into the retaining pins.
• When using public roads and paths,
the appropriate illumination
regulations should be observed.
• Before driving on public roads the
control unit must be switched off.
• Plug tine guard onto tines and secure.
• Before driving on public roads or
paths, it is mandatory for the rotary
arms to be folded into transport
position.
3.5 Preparing the rotary swather for
use
3.5.1 Genera
Implement may only be driven in the
ready for operation condition with
wheels in mounted in outer position –
Danger of tipping over!
Some components of the swather are
removed for transport ex-works. The
necessary assembly work, which must be
undertaken before commissioning, is
described in the appendix to this
operating manual.

• Turn off the control unit.
• Fold the three tine arms (right and left) into transport
position (see section 4.5.2).
• Plug tine guard onto the tines, which are located
below 2 m in transport position (see section 4.5.5)
• Lock the rotors (see section 4.5.2)
• Fold up guard bar (see section 4.5.1).
• Check lighting system.
• Lift swath arms until the left and right locks (1) have
snapped correctly into the retaining pins (see section
4.5.3).
