Malfunction Possible cause Remedy
Rotor not working neatly Raking height set too high Set raking height lower
The working speed is too high. Reduce the driving speed. Rough
estimate 8-10 km/h. For uneven
terrain and/or higher amount of
forage, it may be necessary to
drive slower.
Speed is too low Increase the speed. Rough guide
450 rpm
Side rotor inclination set
incorrectly
Change side inclination setting
(see section on Operation "Side
Inclination Setting of Rotor
Running Gear").
Tine arm(s) crooked Replace tine arms
High level of forage contamination Raking height set too low Set raking height higher
Tine arm(s) bent Replace tine arms
Swath width too large Working width too large Change working width.
Speed is too low Increase speed
One rotor goes down in headland
position, the other goes up
Rotor not swivelled up into
headland position
Activate the hydraulics until the
rotor arms are resting against the
stops.
Not possible to adjust rotor to
unevenness in the ground
Tractor's lower suspension arm
set too high or too low
Align frame horizontally (high
steerable pinions about 63 cm)
Tractor hydraulics not in float
position
Set tractor hydraulics to float
position.
Setting of raking height - electrical
not working
Fuse defective Replace the fuse in the switch box
that is screwed onto the frame.
Transfer from front to rear rotor
for single swath not neat.
Front swath cloth is set in position
for two single swaths.
Switch swath cloth to position for
one side swath (see section on
Operation "Switching from Two
Individual Swaths to One Side
Swath").
Width adjustment cylinder not
completely retracted.
Continue activating the double-
action hydraulics until the width
adjustment cylinder is completely
retracted.
