8. STARTER MOTOR/GENERATOR/LEFT CRANK-
CASE COVER/STARTER CLUTCH/CAMSHAFT
LEFT CRANKCASE COVER
INSTALLATION
Install the left crankcase cover and tighten
the eight bolts. (Refer to 8-2.)
Torque: 0.8～1.2kg-m
Install the reduction gear, shaft and washers.
Then install the reduction gear cover and
tighten the three bolts.
Torque: 0.8～1.2kg-m
STARTER MOTOR INSTALLATION
Apply engine oil to the starter motor O-ring
and then install it.
Install the starter motor.
Tighten the two mounting bolts.
Torque: 0.8～1.2kg-m
Install the reduction gear shaft by
aligning the shaft pin with the shaft
seat groove.
• Apply engine oil to the reduction gear
cover O-ring before installation.
