SoftCal Calibration Curve Creation (Continued)
NOTE: If Point 2 is not being used, press the Enter key with both settings at their default
value and advance to Point 3.
Use the numerical keypad to enter the measured data point at or near the boiling point of nitrogen
(77.35 K). Temperatures outside the range of 50
100 K are not permitted. For this example, we will
enter 1.02111. Press the
Enter key. The cursor will jump to the temperature reading. Again use
numerical keypad to enter the temperature the measurement was taken at. For this example, we will
enter 77 K. Press the
Enter key.
Point 3

NOTE: If Point 3 is not being used, press the Enter key with both settings at their default
value to complete the SoftCal calibration.
Use the numerical keypad to enter the measured data point at or near room temperature (305 K).
Temperatures outside the range of 200
350 K are not permitted. For this example, we will enter
0.51583. Press the
Enter key. The cursor will jump to the temperature reading. Again use numerical
keypad to enter the temperature the measurement was taken at. For this example, we will enter
302.5 K. Press the
Enter key.
The new curve is automatically generated and you will return to the normal display. You can check
the new curve using the Edit Curve instructions in Paragraph 5.2.1. The curve is not automatically
assigned to either input, so the new curve must be assigned to an input by the user.
