components are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
If an action step is preceded by “(Trained service technician only),” that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.

DIMM presence detected read/write failure
Note: Each time you install or remove a DIMM, you
must disconnect the server from the power source;
then, wait 10 seconds before restarting the server.
1. Update the server firmware to the latest level (see
“Updating the firmware” on page 513).
2. Reseat the DIMMs.
3. Install DIMMs in the correct sequence (see
“Installing a DIMM” on page 436).
4. Replace the failing DIMM.
5. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
0051006 DIMM mismatch detected Note: Each time you install or remove a DIMM, you
must disconnect the server from the power source;
then, wait 10 seconds before restarting the server.
Make sure that the DIMMs match and are installed in
the correct sequence (see
“Installing a DIMM” on page
436
).
0051009 No memory detected. Note: Each time you install or remove a DIMM, you
must disconnect the server from the power source;
then, wait 10 seconds before restarting the server.
1. Make sure one or more DIMMs are installed in the
server.
2. Reseat the DIMMs and restart the server.
3. Make sure that the DIMMs are installed in the
correct sequence (see
“Installing a DIMM” on
page 436
for more information).
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
microprocessor that controls the failing DIMMs.
5. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
