Step 7. Reinstall the DIMMs (see “Installing a memory module” on page 430).
Step 8. Reinstall the system battery (see
“Installing the system battery” on page 479).
Step 9. Reinstall the microprocessor 2 and DIMM air baffles (see
“Installing the microprocessor 2 air baffle”
on page 427
and “Installing the DIMM air baffle” on page 428).
Step 10. Reinstall the PCI riser-card assemblies and adapters, if any were installed (see
“Installing a PCI
riser-card assembly” on page 487
).
Step 11. Reinstall the virtual media key (see
“Installing the virtual media key” on page 470).
Step 12. Reconnect to the system board the cables that you disconnected in
Step 12 in “Removing the
system board”
.
Step 13. Install the cover (see
“Installing the cover” on page 425).
Step 14. Push the power supplies back into the server.
Step 15. Slide the server into the rack.
Step 16. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
Step 17. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
Important:
Start the Setup utility and reset the configuration.
Set the system date and time.
Set the power-on password.
Reconfigure the server.

“Using the Setup utility” on page 517 for details.
Either update the server with the latest RAID firmware or restore the pre-existing firmware from a diskette
or CD image.
Update the UUID (see
“Updating the Universal Unique Identifier (UUID)” on page 530).
Update the DMI/SMBIOS (see
“Updating the DMI/SMBIOS data” on page 531).
