Step 2. Remove the cable wall and the power module board.

Remove the two screws that secure cable wall; then, remove the cable wall.
b.
Remove the other two screws from the power module board; then, pull the two pull tapes
on the power module board to remove it from the system board.
Important: To prevent damage to the parts, make sure to carefully pull both pull tapes with
equal strength at the same time.

Step 3. Disconnect the cables from the power module board (see
“Cable routing for the power module
board and power input board module” on page 136
).
Attention: Remove the power module board BEFORE disconnecting the cables between the
power module board and power input board module.
After this task is completed
• Install a replacement unit (see
“Install a power module board” on page 87).
• If you are instructed to return the component, follow all of the packaging instructions and use any
packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
