Youcaninstallorreplacea2.5-inchdrivewithoutturningofftheserver,whichhelpsyouavoidsignificant
interruptiontotheoperationofthesystem.

TheEMIintegrityandcoolingoftheserverareprotectedbyhavingalldrivebayscoveredoroccupied.The
numberoftheinstalleddrivesinyourservervariesdependingontheservermodel.Thevacantbaysare
occupiedbydummydrivetrays.Whenyouinstalladrive,savetheremoveddummydrivetrayfromthedrive
bayincasethatyoulaterremovethedriveandneedthedummytraytocovertheplace.
Attention:AnunoccupieddrivebaywithoutanyotherprotectionmightimpacttheEMIintegrityandcooling
oftheserver,whichmightresultinoverheatingorcomponentdamage.TomaintaintheEMIintegrityand
coolingoftheserver,installanewdriveassoonasyouremovethefailingoneorthedummytray.
