AfterinstallingaTPM,checkiftheTPMfunctionisenabledintheSetupUtilityprogram.
ToenabletheTPMfunctionintheSetupUtilityprogram,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage41.
2.OntheSystemSecuritymenu,selectTPMSettings➙TPMSupport.
3.Dooneofthefollowing:
•IfTPMSupportissettoEnabled,theTPMSecurityFeatureitemisdisplayed.SetTPMSecurity
FeaturetoActivate.
•IfTPMSupportissettoDisabled,dothefollowing:
a.SetTPMSupporttoEnabledandpressF10tosavesettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.
Theserverwillrestart.
b.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.OntheSystemSecuritymenu,selectTPMSettings.Then,set
TPMSecurityFeaturetoActivate.
4.PressF10tosavesettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.Theserverwillrestarttoenablethe
TPMfunction.
SettinganEthernetconnectorforsystemmanagement
TherearethreeRJ-45Ethernetconnectorsontherearoftheserver.TheEthernetconnector0isforsystem
managementbydefault.However,youalsocansettheEthernetconnector1forsystemmanagementuse.
TolocatethethreeEthernetconnectors,see“Rearviewoftheserver”onpage21
.
TosettheEthernetconnectorforsystemmanagement,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage41.
2.OntheTSMSettingsmenu,selectTSMNetworkSettings➙TSMNICSelection.
3.Dooneofthefollowing:
•TosettheEthernetconnector0forsystemmanagement,selectDedicatedPort.
•TosettheEthernetconnector1forsystemmanagement,selectSharedNICPort.
4.PressF10tosavesettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.
ExitingtheSetupUtilityprogram
Afteryoufinishviewingorchangingsettings,pressEsctoreturntotheSetupUtilityprogrammaininterface.
Ifyouareonanestedsubmenu,pressEscrepeatedlyuntilyoureachthemaininterface.Then,youcando
oneofthefollowingtoexittheSetupUtilityprogram:
•IfyouwanttosavethenewsettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram,pressF10orselectSave&Exit➙
SaveChangesandReset.Otherwise,yourchangeswillnotbesaved.
•Ifyoudonotwanttosavethenewsettings,selectSave&Exit➙DiscardChangesandExit.
•Ifyouwanttoreturntothedefaultsettings,pressF9orselectSave&Exit➙LoadOptimizedDefaults.
