1 Preface and general information
1.1 The 9300 Servo PLC
We would like to congratulate you to the 9300 PLC.
For the first time in drive technology, the 9300 Servo PLC by Lenze integrates PLC technology into
a controller - and all that without additional hardware.
In addition to drive control it is now possible to load and execute PLC programs because the PLC
functionality is integrated into the operating system of the 9300 Servo PLC.
It ispossibleto program thecontrollerinthesamewayas youareused to from your PLCenvironment
because programming is based on the IEC1131-3 standard.
Together with the program package “Drive PLC Developer Studio” (DDS) we provide a very
comfortable PLC development system. Among others it includes the following:
• Editors for the five IEC1131-3 programming languages
• Extensive monitoring and debugging functions
• Commissioning visualisation
Your automation tasks can now be solved where they occur.
The 9300 Servo PLC offers a highly dynamic and precise servo controller for the following motors
• Synchronous servo motors
• Asynchronous servo motors
• Standard asynchronous motors
Select one of the following feedback systems
• Resolver
• Incremental encoder
• SinCos encoder
• Absolute value encoder
Additional components like the low-backlash gearbox, optimized motors and fieldbus and drive
connections offer complete drive solutions.
