If the GS connecon is interrupted or in case of a short circuit/short circuit of GS
to SIA/SIB, STO is acve.
Acceptance
The machine manufacturer must check and prove the operability of the safety funcons used.
•
The machine manufacturer must authorise a person with experse and knowledge of the
safety funcons to carry out the test.
•
The test result of every safety funcon must be documented and signed by the inspector.
A complete test comprises the following:

Documenng the plant including the safety funcons:

Creang an overview screen of the plant.
•
Describing the plant.
•
Describing the safety equipment.
•
Documenng the safety funcons used.
•
Checking the funcon of the safety funcons used.
•
Preparing the test report:

Documenng the funconal test.

Checking the parameters.
•
Signing the test report.
•
Preparing the appendix with test records:
•
Protocols for the plant
•
External recording
The tester must repeat the test aer each change and record the results in the
test report.
