Inverter load characteriscs
The inverter has two dierent load characteriscs: "Light Duty" and "Heavy Duty". The "Light
Duty" load characterisc allows for a higher output current with restricons regarding over-
load capacity, ambient temperature and switching frequency. This allows the motor required
for the applicaon to be driven by a less powerful inverter. Select the load characterisc
according to the applicaon.
Heavy Duty compared to Light Duty
The table compares both possible conguraons:
Heavy Duty Light duty
Characteriscs High dynamic requirements Low dynamic requirements
Typical applicaons Main tool drives, travelling drives, hoist drives,
winders, forming drives and conveyors
Pumps, fans, general horizontal materials handling technol-
ogy and line drives
Overload capacity 3 s/200 %, 60 s/150 %

Devices with Light Duty load characterisc: See ^ 137, ^ 182
Comply with all data for this load characterisc and the corresponding mains
voltage range. This comprises the informaon on the type of installaon as well
as the required fuses, cable cross-secons, mains chokes and lters.
