Error LED Off When Cover Open
Drive Motor Does Not Operate

The error LED is off
when the cover is
open
Yes No
1 Disconnect the cover
open sensor connector
from the main board.
Check for continuity at
the connector while
deflecting the actuator
on the switch. Does
the continuity change
with deflection of the
actuator?
Replace the main
board.
Replace the cover
open switch.
Step
Motor does not run
when attempting to
run a print job
Yes No
1 Check for proper
connection of the
motor connector on the
SMPS board. Is it
properly connected?
Go to step 2. Properly connect
the connector.
2 Check for continuity of
the cable between the
drive motor and the
LVPS. Is there
continuity?
Go to step 3. Replace the cable.
3 Replace the drive
motor. Did this resolve
the problem?
Problem resolved. Replace the LVPS.
