Load paper
Loading tray 1
Note:
If you load any media other than
letter or A4 size paper in tray 1, make
sure you change the Paper Type and
Paper Size settings for that tray. See
pages 147 and 148 for more information.
Tray 1 holds 250 sheets of A3, A4, A5,
B4, B5, letter, executive, legal, and
11x17 size paper. You can also load
transparencies, labels, card stock, and
odd-sized media in tray 1.

Pull the paper tray open until it
stops.

Press down on the pressure
plate until it clicks into place.
