¾ Remove battery plug (8) from battery socket
(9).
¾ Move out battery socket (9) sideways to-
wards board contactor via hinge (10) and
secure in position.
WARNING
The use of impermissible C-hooks may result in
major damage and/or possibly even a risk of injury
to the driver.
For this reason only use C-hooks with the approp-
riate gear , which offer the permissible / sufficient
load bearing capacity and have been authorised by
the dealer . Please contact your authorised dealer.
¾ Using a crane or another truck with C-hooks
(11) and lifting gear (12) carefully move into
position over the battery.

¾ Insert the four hooks (15) into the openings
(13) of the battery tray (14) provided for this
purpose.
¾ Carefully lift the battery, move slowly away
from the truck frame and set down at a safe
location.
¾ Check the battery for leaking acid, cracked
housing or raised plates.
¾ Check that battery plug / cable are in good
condition and leave battery in a safe place.
